Social work thrives on relationships, trust and time for people. However, it is precisely this time that is often lost in everyday life due to documentation, reports, queries and administrative tasks.
With Lua we want to use artificial intelligence where it can specifically relieve the burden on specialists - directly in everyday work and fully integrated into the client information system.
For this purpose, we are developing a chat interface that specialists can use to work with the existing information. Instead of searching for a long time in dossiers, journal entries or documents, questions can be asked directly and content can be found, summarized or classified more quickly.
Another focus is report generation. AI helps create structured designs from existing information. Specialists remain in control at all times, check the content and decide for themselves what to adopt or adapt.
What is central to this for us is that the AI is only allowed to access the client data and journal entries to which the respective user also has access. The existing roles and authorizations are completely taken over. If a person does not have access to a dossier, the AI does not have access to it either.
Clear principles also apply when dealing with data. The AI does not learn from the client data entered and does not use it to develop itself. It remains neutral and works within the respective approved context.
Our goal is not to replace specialists. On the contrary: Lua should give them more time for their actual work. The AI takes on preparatory and time-consuming tasks, while responsibility, assessment and decisions always remain with humans.
This is how we want to use technology: not as an end in itself, but as reliable support for social work that can once again focus more on people.
